Letter from Reverend David Whyte – Former Locum

The Reverend David Whyte stood down as our locum at the end of last year. Below is the text of a letter he sent to the Session Clerk that he wishes to share with you all.

Dear Friends,

I would like to express my appreciation for the encouragement and friendship you have extended to me during my time as your Locum Minister at Kinloss and Findhorn parish Church.

Not living among the folk of the parish has been an unusual experience for me, as it does not provide the most natural opportunities for ministry, but I have always felt warmth and welcome from all of you and really appreciated my time among you.

Please also accept my sincere thanks for your very kind gift of Book Tokens. Someone said, ‘Books do make a room’ and I never tire of adding books to the rooms in our house. Your Linked Charge covers a wide area and I hope and pray that it will not be too long before you are able to call a full time minister.

With Kind Regards,

David Whyte
